Plastic sliders provide extra strength on selected rows of a flexible slat bed incorporating 53mm laminated wooden slats.  By binding an existing 53mm wide laminated slats together with a 38mm wide tensioner slat it is possible to allow for heavier body weights.  Selected rows on just one side of a queen, king or super king size bed or on both sides can be strengthened.  Rows beneath just shoulders and hips can be strengthened or all rows strengthened on one or both sides for maximum effect.  Each tensioned row can be further adjusted for sofness or firmness.  Tension sliders and additional tensioner slats can be retrofitted to existing single slat systems.  Two (2) tensioners are required on each row to operate in tandem and are adjustable to increase or decrease the tension.  Pushing the pair of sliders together towards the centre SOFTENS the support whilst pulling them apart HARDENS the firmness.  Tensioner slats (8mm) are available separately.  Plastic sliders are sold in pairs.
